Lorraine Shields completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt School of Nursing, Nashville, Tennessee. She has over 40 years of experience in Neonatal Nursing as a bedside nurse, transport nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. She is currently an Associate Professor in graduate programs and Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at the College of Nursing, California Baptist University. She has served in many positions in the National Association of Neonatal Nurses
